Founded in March 2016, Solantis is a Ugandan solar company that sells solar home systems in East Africa. With a diversified portfolio of solar home systems in different sizes, solar lanterns and electrical accessories such as TVs or radios, Solantis offers customized clean energy solutions to a broad customer group: farmers, families, shop owners and others. These individuals can save time, effort and money by investing in solar technology to create better lives for themselves. Solantis offers flexible payment plans and PAYG (pay as you go) solutions, making its products affordable to almost everyone.
Solantis is looking for an experienced sales and credit professional who is knowledgeable about the products and services offered. This person will be a keen salesperson – patient, empathetic, calm, attentive to customers, persuasive, tenacious, and with a demonstrated track record of closing deals.
What you’ll be doing:
Collaborate with senior executives to establish and execute a sales goal for the region.
Manage and guide the branch sales teams (branch team leader, sales and revenue executives, customer care agent and technician) in order to maximize sales revenue and meet or exceed Solantis’ set goals for sales and credit collection.
Screen, recruit and maintain an active team of three-to-four SREs per branch.
Identify organisations for partnerships to increase sales.
Weekly control of inventory at each branch, maintaining stock records and supply.
Branch management: maintain a clean office at each branch and ensure staff is adhering to Solantis’ dress code, and adhering to opening times.
Maintain and control transport logbooks and ensure vehicle and motor bike maintenance, fuel allocation are being completed and tracked.
Ensure that the company rules and policies are followed.
Encourage a culture of team work and team spirit.
Inform management immediately of any cases of theft or fraud.
Follow up on all customers who are defaulting and ensure full payment is received.
Ensure that during the warranty period, any services issued to customers are being followed up promptly.
Forecast daily, weekly and quarterly sales and credit collection goals.
Develop specific plans to ensure growth both long and short-term.
Assist with opening new branches in the region (recruiting staff, identify space, branding and training).
Educate sales team with presentations of sales and collection strategies, product training, use of our Angaza CMS system and regular meetings.
Review and control regional expenses and recommended improvements.
Daily, weekly and monthly reporting (email and Whatsapp) to the management.
