Bridges to Prosperity (B2P) is an international non-governmental organization that specializes in the design and construction of pedestrian footbridges. B2P is seeking a highly self-motivated, passionate, outgoing and very interactive industry liaison to support its Uganda Industry Program. Reporting to the Uganda Industry Coordinator in Uganda, the ideal candidate is a young professional who has an interest in international development, public relations and community engagement, with exceptional communication skills in English and any other local language.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Support B2P Uganda Industry Coordinator in finding and reserving accommodation for the industry teams in modest places close to the bridge sites.
Support B2P Uganda Industry Coordinator in organizing meal preparation for site and at the team accommodation.
Ensure team accommodation is set up with furniture, locks, lights, utensils, etc. before team arrives.
Shop for food and supplies as needed.
Act as go-between for both the Industry Coordinator and the Industry Team as well as with the community members.
Organize and plan for activities for the industry team during the off-work day(s).
Participate in helping the industry team integrate with the community members with different cultural backgrounds.
Organize bridge inaugurations.
Manage industry team logistics in terms of food, accommodation, and travel.
Ensure safety protocols are encouraged and observed.
Other general tasks as requested.

This role requires work shifts of 2-week periods; requires living and working in remote and modest locations; and requires frequent travel often by public transportation.
